I think if Season 5 was longer it might have been the best yet. Meowmeowbeanz, GI Jeff, Hot Lava, Repilot, and don't forget Abed's Nick Cage. It just didn't have enough episodes.

I get that the "meta moments" is what gives Community its charm, and I get that most long running sitcoms find their "thing", but being meta is a terrible schtick to have once the show runs it into the ground.

The only 2 things Community ever did wrong were Giving Chang a main role and making the alternate universe a major storyline which made the show just dumb for a while
Season 5 started off really awkward but was awesome once they found their footing again

im hopeful. The show grew more and more outrageous as it went on but I enjoyed it. I hope they do not get to infusing with the whole "Darkest Timeline" thing. I think that would be trying to develop to much of a plot instead of just having fun

Was recently in a debate with my buddies about P&R/Community. We agreed that P&R has higher highs and is more consistently good, but Community could hold its own. I feel like Community at its best isn't close to P&R, but in a vacuum, Community had a great first three seasons.

Just got done re-watching the episode with the high schoolers making fun of Jeff and britta. I forgot how good the first few seasons of this show were SHMITTY
