Seems like they are kind of phasing Vitale out. He still does games but not the "big" games anymore; they seem to have given that to Bilas. This past Saturday he did South Carolina at Kentucky.

Which team does he root for? Dickie V loves all the big marquee programs -- Kentucky, Kansas, UConn, Duke and North Carolina. Shoot, I remember him calling an LSU-Kentucky game back in the early 90s and he was slobbering over Shaq the whole time "I only got one eye but I can't believe what I'm seeing baby!"

Watched this game for the first time a few days ago when it was posted on tRant. Absolutely true, he was saying Shaq was the next Hakeem, the next David Robinson, the next sure thing, the next big star. Couldn't get off of Shaqs D. But truth is Shaq was tearing up that game and deserved all of that the way he was playing

Vitale adds nothing of substance...no real insights where you go, hmmm, that's a good observation...or "I learned something", which is the fricking point of the color guy. He's a cheerleader and he makes noise. He's literally one of the worst color guys on the network.
