I can't believe their commander let them do this. They are easy targets now.

You do know that we're not fighting anyone in Kuwait, right?

"The Louisiana National Guard preps for the new parade scheduled to roll down St Roch tomorrow. Sgt. Champagne said throwing beads from behind the bullet proof glass windows will be a challenge, but one his soldiers are ready to accept."

Sounds like an excellent use of government funds

Can you believe they live there and sometimes walk-around the city without armor on?!?

With so many soldiers dying in and around Kuwait it really is a wonder!

Like the 4 ton military transport didn't attract any attention. Slap a Mardi Gras flag on it and "Whoa! Huge target now!"

But the National Guard wonders why they're not taken seriously by the active component.

Assuming this is the National Guard of course. If it's not, I'll be surprised.

The event was a blast and Soldiers had good time!!

And for those that yack about waste of government funds, you probably never deployed before. But BLUF, everything was Soldiers putting this together on their own time, donated beads from people back home and others on post that help with events for Soldiers.
