Not sure what to think

I really enjoyed the three-man crew for baseball on the radio the last two days. Today Jim is back, and he is fumbling through and in one instance just failed to complete a sentence.
This is not a knock on Jim. I'm wondering if LSU has done him a disservice by having him call all three major sports. The man was in Knoxville yesterday, calling basketball, and now you're throwing him on the air the next day, armed with nothing more than a stat sheet.
I understand Jim has been getting things mixed up and just plain wrong well before now, but now that he's 71, is this just wear and tear or just Jim being Jim.
I really don't know. He's still enthusiastic, but like others have said he has become brutally combative with others on the air often these last few years.
I guess I'm just in the beginning stage of mourning who has been the Voice of the Tigers since my childhood.

I've thought the last few years he's done a better job with baseball than football. The games are just moving a little fast for him, and it's ok that's why he's retiring. I've enjoyed listening to him, but I'm ready for some better football terms describing formations and plays.

It's his own doing. I was told years ago he insisted on doing all three. He's an egomaniac. I tuned in for start not knowing he was working the game, heard him arguing w someone turned it off.......good riddance
