LSU is the early favorite to sign the most five-stars. Les Miles and company are considered the leader for the country’s No. 1 outside linebacker Keion Joyner and the country’s No. 2 defensive tackle Edwin Alexander. Every year there has to be a five-star battle between Alabama and LSU, and the first one of the cycle looks like New Orleans (La.) John Curtis offensive tackle Willie Allen. The Tigers hold the slight 247Sports Crystal Ball lead over the Crimson Tide at this juncture.

The Tigers are also looking to dip into the Lone Star State for a pair of five-stars. Defensive tackle Ed Oliver could end up a Tiger, with Texas and Texas A&M trying to keep him home, while the No. 1 safety in America, Eric Monroe, is another LSU-Aggies battle.

Another safety, the No. 3 ranked player at his position in Manvel (Texas) High standout Deontay Anderson is a recruiting battle the Aggies are currently favored over LSU for.

Hopefully we can keep Willie Allen in state but not holding my breath. That said, next year will be a monster year. Hope we choose the right DTs. Obviously we can't take them all. Hope we take 5 and redshirt at least 2.

Joyner and divenity would be huge at LB.

We had a great haul on OL last year but can never have too many big nasties.

QB - stoked about Franks. His film looks great.

DB/RB - stacked already. Would love to see a couple of very high quality additions.

TE - Pettigrew is enough

WR - Ton af talent. Hope BH reaches potential.

We are after more than this.... But yea these are probably the most likely and idk if the big tackle is gone just yet. Hell LSU has just started to recruit the big names guys and the ones we are and not getting hurt are making it to the league. Can sell that we have had a run of bad luck with QBs and the 2 that made it are doing well plus got JM a first round ticket not LSUs fault he got paid and laid back. IMO Patterson should really think about Cam and LSU, why not have both him and Franks? LSU has more of a record than OM in getting QBs ready for the NFL with Cams system. Could be the next Drew Breez!! It is better than Hugh Freeze system QB offense. If you can play with Cams offense, you're good, if you excel you're golden! LSU will have the best front 7 recruiting year for sure! LSU is set up for QBs we just need to start bringing the big names in and why not 2 big names a year until someone takes the lead??? GT

Do you mean ability-wise or that he's less likely to go to the dark side?

He's definitely not as good as Cam, but he's really good nonetheless.

LSU recruiting staff are smarter than most TD junkies, they will go after the right guys.

we need him and one more quite honestly. Once Jennings goes pro after this coming year, we will be highly inexperienced at the position.
