I think he would be a great addition with his resume as a reciever and from what I've read he's a great recruiter.
I think he is a great teacher of the game

Very solid hire, instant respect, and from Houston.

Near perfect.

Much better than Arky's WR coach. That's for damn sure.

I know nothing about his coaching abilities or his social skills but the name recognition alone would most likely be a benefit.

Great! From Houston and an NFL star that spent nearly his entire career in Florida. All time great in Jacksonville and Super Bowl Champ in Tampa. Coaching experience in college and pro.

He destroyed me by himself in the fantasy bowl one year.

I'm still hoping for Jerry Rice, but I guess McCardell could work.

Loved him in the pros. Don't know much about his coaching history though. But like someone said earlier he's a solid hire on name recognition alone

He would be a very great hire. He was a great NFL WR, and an even better coach.

I would be on board with it
NFL experience, recruits will love that connection
Connection to Houston, key recruiting area you want to continue to get players from
College experience at Maryland ACC should translate

I like it better than UGA coach
I could get on board with the Hog coach as well - they must not pay assistants well because they've lost several this offseason

Being from an hour south of Tampa and a life long Bucaneers fan I would love to see this happen!

i did not care for that interview

The tone was that of the "me first" wide receiver

he talked about working hard and out working competition, but what coach is not going to say that?

he spoke about being on island and playing natural and ready to make plays....more common sense

said that you have to "play your game" and "love to run" I disagree here. This is a team sport. We want receivers to play their game, but they also need to run crisp routes and be ready to block at all times

LSU is best when the WRs are engaged on every play and contribute in passing and running games. I am obviously basing a lot of opinion on a 90 second clip, but i did not get team concept from that interview.

I doubt if 15-18 year olds know who he is though. We as more mature fans recognize the name, but I'm not sure of the younger folks.

They will notice his 2 Super Bowl Rings though, no doubt.
