Has great vision and an obvious feel for the game on the court.
Does small things well, plays within himself, and just makes plays.
Very happy he's on the team for the foreseeable future.
ETA: obviously his shot needs work, but for a freshman, he's looking solid.

His jump shot makes me cringe. Turning sideways in mid air, feet all over the place. Work on the shot and he could be very, very good.

He's forced a few shots.

He's had some bad shot selections, but that's expected in a huge moment like this as a freshman
He was also super lazy in transition D twice, which is really unacceptable

I should say he does all the small things well. His shot needs work, but he's good around the rim.
If he gets shot down, he could be all-sec in a couple years.

No doubt. He did get back late in transition twice after a bad shot/pass. He was mad at himself and cost us on the other end.
He's young and far exceeding expectations

I agree, but he's taken several awful shots early in the shot clock tonight. You can tell he wants to make something happen out there, but he needs to set his feet and stop taking off balance shots or a long 3 early in the shot clock when it's not necessary.

I did not see lazy transition defense. I wouldn't have made this thread if I had

I love JP! He's gonna be awesome for this team down the road
