Pretty good album! r/indieheads is worshipping it right now. I really enjoy the juxtaposition of the late 70's light rock melodies and humorous lyrics.

I've listened to about half of it. Am enjoying it more than his first album. The "Josh Tillman" song is really good.

It might be better than Fear Fun.

I think its better than Fear Fun. The songwriting is great (lyrics and music). It's crazy that this is Josh Tillman's 10th solo album. His earlier stuff was decent but he turned a new leaf with FJM.

Bold statement, my friend. May end up being the case, though.

I think I like Fear Fun better. I like Honeybear, but I feel like some of his funny/quirky lyrics feel a little forced. Kinda like he felt like he had to try to one up Fear Fun.

I like Fear Fun better, but just because FF is one of favorite albums of all time. Honeybear is really awesome though.

The Night Josh Tillman Came to Our Apartment is hilarious.

When you are smiling and astride me is beautiful and amazing.

love Chateau Lobby 4 as well.

Those are my 3 favs so far. Got it on Vinyl earlier this week.

I also got the vinyl. I bought the deluxe and it was all warped to shite! I read that it's a known issue by Subpop and they are sending everyone new copies of the vinyl (no packaging). I said F it and just returned it to the record store I bought it from and bought that $20 version.

I've been listening to this album nonstop. It's definitely a grower. It may be a good candidate for album of the year for me.
