OLD Laptop advice

Have an old Dell laptop with Windows XP and the Hard Drive failed. I would like to use it solely as a Windows Media Player for playing a bunch of MP3's. I can get a cheap new hard drive off ebay but is there any way to relaod the operating system so I can use WMP?--Thanks
