Not the biggest Burke fan but I wanted to move Melo and I like Drummond.

dont blame ya. Not sure why any last place team would want Melo over Drummond in a dynasty league tbh. 21yr old that is only getting better vs 13yr vet who just got hurt on the worst team in the L

Port has pulled off a textbook rebuild.

most surprising is he's obtained most his assets from people out of contention

it's crazy what some people consider assets in this league

Some people give no regard whatsoever that this is a dynasty league. For some reason 32 year olds are valued the same as 24 year olds.

Let's follow the path of one Andre Drummond and 21JS 12/1/14--- 21JS sends Klay Thompson, receives Drummond 12/30/14--- 21JS sends Drummond, receives Tony Parker and Al Jeff 1/27/15 --- 21JS sends Monta Ellis, Jeremy Lin, Al Jeff, recieves Drummond and Kemba 2/20/15 --- 21JS sends Drummond and Burke, receives Julius Randle and Carmelo Anthony 37 total trades in this league and this dude has been involved in 20 of them and has nothing to show for it

So I think he's traded Klay Thompson, Monta Ellis, Jeremy Lin and Trey Burke for Tony Parker, Carmelo, Kemba and Randle. In essence

yea i mean i understand adding an older player to make a run, but when you're in last place, a guy like Drummond is the type of player you want to sit on, imo.

Esp when you traded a guy like Klay Thompson for him earlier in the season. Not that Carmelo sucks, but id feel like an idiot if that is what i end with.

That's where I fricked up first. Melo isn't a bad consolation. He still at the very least 3 good years left. A season before he avg career highs.

If you're still interested in old dudes with 3 years left, I'll pass you Monta, Sully for LA

might have ben a reach but I don't have a problem drafting older guys early, I just wouldn't trade a guy entering his prime for one unless I'm in contention

So if I valued Melo more at the beginning of the league this season in a dynasty. And I draft a guy later. I don't trade him for a guy that I value more, just because he's younger and I'm not in contention? Trying to get some pointers here.

Melo is 31 and just had knee surgery, and you traded a 23-year old, 6-foot-10 280-pound athletic freak to get him.

On paper its even deal. They were separated by like 7 picks in the initial draft. since then one has blown out their knee.

Only deal you've done where I think you lost big time was the first Melo and Westbrook deal. All other ones have been even value, IMO. Even with the lack of obvious plan.
