How close are Simmons and Blakeney to Malik Newman?

We are on the short list and getting a serious look. The good part is if we get Malik, we also get Diamond Stone. Malik and Stone want to play together.

Pretty sure Stone is going to Wisconsin. I know they've talked about it, but their favorite's don't matchup. Stone's top three is Wisconsin, UConn, and Maryland.
Back on topic, Tone and Malik seem pretty tight, and I know he wants to play with Ben. So if we can somehow get them all on campus at the same time I think it would help us tremendously.

I know they twitter back and forth. The also played one on one in New York, which is on youtube. Malik reminds me of a taller version of Chris Jackson. He is a far better shooter than Monta Ellis (Dallas Mavs) another local product.

Bruh, there's a big leap between Monta Ellis and fricking LeBron and Michael. And I agree, Malik is a much better overall prospect then Monta was coming out.

I've seen all three play in high school and in person. He is that good. Not a reach at all. I never said Lebron or Jordan. The guy can fill it up. Monta was an outstanding player. Jackson and Newman were/are better. Simple as that.
