LIfeproof case Fre vs Nuud question (Iphone 5s)

I had the Fre model lifeprof for over a year and loved it. After about 15 months it had some wear and tear so I'm about to get another one. The new Nuud model Lifeproof cases look good but the only concern I have is whether the screen will crack because it does not have a built in screen protector. Can anyone with experience help me out?

Fwiw, I bought a minimalist protective case for my Nexus 6, and bought a glass screen protector so the screen wouldn't crack.

Used both. To be completely honest, I prefered the Fre. The Nuud is just a bit thicker and I enjoyed my screen being completely clean. Have the Fre for my Iphone 6
