how much do you guys pay a month, and is there any up front costs, also how much do you save on your homeowners?

Not real sure on that.. This is the first security company I've ever used.. It has some really neat features and I'm glad I have I now

Have them separate out the cost of the monitoring from the cost of the equipment so you can make a real comparison. Like cell phone carriers they roll the equipment cost into the monthly fee but unlike cell carriers they don't reduce the monthly monitoring fee once the cost of the equipment is amortized. Pay for your monitoring on a month to month basis because most of their contracts call for an automatic renewal for up to three years unless you cancel in writing.
