The big names that come in late get all the hype and get the recruiters the accolades, but I'd like to give props to the staff for retaining some big names for an eternity in the recruiting cycle, especially people like Brossette, Teuhema and Toliver, but also guys like Magee, Washington, Ducre and Xavier Lewis, kids who continued to be recruited by the big schools until the end.

If I'm not mistaken, wasn't Womack the only kid who flipped out of our class?

That RB Paleili (Spelling definitely off)? That was last years class, unless you're thinking of someone else.

But yeah, I was impressed with that too. There seemed to be a lot more loyalty among this year's recruits, which is one of the reasons I'm pumped. We've signed some high character guys the last two cycles

he was a safety/LB

Kevin Henry was his name

Okay i understand. But some of these are just indecisive.

Derrick Dillon wasn't offered at his position so he went were they were offering him at WR. Once LSU came around it was a for gone conclusion. That I understand.

But there are some story lines were kids just weren't confident and kept changing minds.

A commitment means nothing now of days in recruiting until the LOI is signed and faxed. That's the nature of the game sadly.

I guess I should have said lack of flipping OUT of this class. The staff also did a great job of getting kids to flip in. Really, Teuhema was a flip. Dillon, Martin, Key (sort of), George Brown. All flips. We got two flips out of Florida alone.

Man, that Teuhema flip day last NSD was so awesome. Sione was a much bigger get than it seemed at the time. I think many saw it as an opportunity to steal Maea away, but Sione had immediate impact, and we really need his depth and experience at the D-end position this year.

Gladto have both Teuhema brothers at LSU. That was a really big deal for LSU and was so unexpected.

You also can't forget that RB we have that's pretty good. His little brother joined the team as well. Can't remember their names but I hope that RB can have an impact this year. Hope his lil bro does well too

Totally different perspective if a team is the flipper or the flippee.

They need to have an early signing period. That way, the school and player know where each stand.

Either the school let's you sign, or you look around. The player signs, or the school looks around.

Ugo Amadi, but at this point, with players like him and CeCe Jefferson, is it really worth it? Well maybe it is for Jefferson.

Kevin Henry (S), Matt Womack (OT), Ugo Amadi (CB)
Henry felt mutual and no one really cared
People were pissed about Womack but that was when he was either our 1st or our 2nd OL commit, so it did hurt at the time
Ugo Amadi was committed for like 3 days and people were still focused on the pissing match regarding Chavis to really concern over a DB decommit.
