We are so deep at the skill positions there is no justification to have a fullback on the field the majority of snaps. I hope this recruiting cycle is what it appears to be—stacking the stable with weapons.

It appears that's what we've been building for. The only fullbacks are athletic hybrid H-Back type guys. Mouton, Upchurch, Ducre is a RB and will see time there probably Darrel Williams as well

We arent going to an offense that neither of our coaches have ever coached.

It's ridiculous how much talent we have at WR...and yet we'll still come out on first down in our base set of two TEs and two WRs.

With a fullback.

It's what our personnel called for last year as well. As mentioned, the H-backs we have still can help us with power. In addition to that we have plenty of heavy RB's who can line up at FB as we have done in the past.

There is no reason to have less than 3 WR's on the field for 75% of the time this year unless we are in obvious goal line or short yardage situations.

Cam also went 18-37 at Indiana. So I'll pass.

Actually isn't a terrible idea. Especially since LSU has no intention of ever building a moderately successful passing game.

Exactly we aren't saying abandon the I completely, but with all these weapons we need to open this offense. When this team spreads the defense out there aren't many D Lines that can match our O Line man to man in strength. Then you're leaving probably 1 line backer to deal with our stable of RBs. Run some damn crossing routes and tunnel screens. Doucette gave the defense hell on those

Yeah Indiana talent = LSU talent right ?? Dumb arse. They had a great offense with no defense.

we will have three 5 star receivers on the field (Dupre, Quinn, T. Johnson), plus Dural who is a future NFL receiver, plus a couple of special talents that should be used in certain situations like Dillon and Donte Jackson…

We have a stable of stud backs that need to run more in space instead of against a brick wall all the time. Guice, Leonard, Williams, Brossette, Ducre…

There is no justification to run out there with fullbacks on most every down.

first off its not very often they use a 2 TE set. 2nd the line up you just said would have a flag every play.

No he didnt. You need to go back and watch those Indiana games. Randle El took snaps under center.

It wasnt the spread anyway.calling running plays for a qb and running some zone read plays isnt running the spread offense.

So deep at WR and no QB to get them the ball.

imo we have to stop recruiting dual threat qbs that have never taken a snap under center and expect them to read a defense while taking 3,5, or 7 step drops.

It's our base set. I-formation, 1-3 WRs/TEs. Putting a fullback and an extra TE in the formation means we have more WRs on the bench.

I just don't understand why we're taking so many WRs and TEs, especially considering who we already have on the roster coming back.
