I have a 2.0 and I love it. I never had one of the older ones, but my SO does. The 2.0 has this thing where it only recognizes the Kuerig cups...any non K-Cubs it won't brew. FYI.

Anyway, Kuerig is awesome.

I love my Kuerig, just wish I could find cups that weren't so expensive. The cheap ones on Amazon don't do it for me.

You can't put the filters in it?

I think the K450. They usually have them at Costco on sale...I think my SO got mine for $120 there.

If you drink more than a cup of coffee I recommend avoiding Keurig. It's fine for me because I'm not a heavy coffee drinker, but it's basically useless for my wife.

We've never had a single problem with this model in our office. It gets used a minimum of 10x a morning

I have one and love it.
Not sure the model but you can select the size cup and change the temp.

I have the 2.0 model 450, the only problem is they were smart enough to make you have to use Kuerig associated only k-cups, however there are a couple of hacks on youtube to fix this issue.

I agree

My wife uses the Keurig but I always use the French press when I want coffee

Just not a huge fan of the Keurig coffee. Maybe because I always choose the large cup and it tastes weak

I guess it depends on what you want. If single cups are your thing then it's ok. I have two. They're both in my garage collecting dust. The coffee is overpriced and they both broke after a year or so I would say approach with caution in my humble opinion.

You and my wife are basically the same in that regard

She's getting a french press for Valentine's day.

I've had both the first model (only had two cup size settings) and the new 2.0 that has 4 cup settings and can brew a carafe. We love it, and we still even use our old one.

They're awesome, and we literally take ours with us when we go on road trips.

French press is going to give you a potent coffee. The Kuerig model I have has a "strong" brew option and it tastes strong enough. But I do agree, they tend to be weak. Probably because it's made for the masses.

I just bought a highly rated one on Amazon that was about 20 bucks

Nothing fancy

Watch out for those Amazon reviews though! They lie!

I also love the fact that when I go duck hunting I don't have to wait for a pot of coffee to brew at 5 in the morning. I just put my thermos or travel mug under there and I'm ready to walk out the door in under a minute.

How long does it typically take you to make a cup?

I'm no expert but I basically boil a small pot/kettle of water and then pour it in the French press with the grounds already in there

Let it steep for about 3 minutes and then press the plunger down

You can adjust the times as you see fit or read up more online for better instructions.

Takes me about 10 minutes total I guess. Most of the time is spent getting water to boil
