That is obvious. A lot of those #1 classes is inflation due to the fact that these players are going to Alabama and the media fawns over Saban.
Not saying that they would not still be #1 classes or that they are not great players and great classes or that Saban is not a great evaluator of talent, but there is obvious padding there. The "Bama Bump" is a real thing.

Take Saban out of it and read it as coach X. And you get a great feel for what the process is.

I would imagine that Darius Philon and the dozens of other high school kids who Saban and Alabama have "processed" through the years are deeply moved by that article!

The bumps are more because of " Alabama" and the familial bond of the sites founders.
