Deflated footballs, domestic abuse, concussions, etc. Have issues like this always swirled around the league?

It's always had issues, but for whatever reason no one seemed to really care. This year the public finally started to hold the league accountable for their actions.

People are only starting to care because Roger Goodell anointed himself as the moral compass on the league and then he started fricking up

shite like this stuff happens all the time, but Roger Goodell just royally fricks up the process which makes a small issue into national news

Only major thing I can remember growing up was the Rae Carruth murders. That was it.

The NFL isn't close to what it was 20-25 years ago....Media everywhere they go no privacy being a puppet to the league... The play on the field was way better as well. Its all controlled by the networks... You watch the 1st 5 mins of gameplay...3 plays..commercial, pumt,commercial,3 more plays, commercial, then punt, then another commercial.. The NFL cares very little about its fanbase. Its all about money...

This is how I understand it. In the general population, people have issues probably in similar proportion as in the NFL. Goodell just helped to push more of this stuff into the public eye by making it an issue and the NFL's responsibility.

Not at all, I think you're just being a bit disingenuous.

Didn't the NFL say they don't keep records of what the pre-game measured PSIs actually are?

This is like when the Pats got caught taping shite, Goodell destroyed the tapes, and then told us to trust him that there wasn't anything bad on them.
