I saw the first 20 minutes of it and liked it enough to record it and haven't watched it since. Should I go watch the rest of it?

I tried to like this. It seemed to have all the ingredients; good cast, tenuous historical basis, good adventure story, kind of like the old Sinbad movies, etc.
That being said, the writing was horrible, something even a good cast couldn't save. I lost interest in this about 45 mins. in.

No. Don't bother. It's bad. Unless you enjoy making fun of bad movies. I gave it a chance.
