Pro Football Hall of Fame: Who deserves to be in?

I have this debate a lot with friends. I believe to many "good" Instead of "great" players are being elected in. I think longevity of performance, being the best at one's position for a long time, should be the major factor. Other things like championships should be part, but not the major factor. All that said I say Kurt Warner- Heck No. He was the starter for his teams only 6 years. He went through a 5 year period, 2002-06, where he lost his job, played for 3 different teams, and threw 27 TD'S and 30 INT'S during that time.
Terrell Davis-NO. Didn't do it long enough. Yes, he was the best in the NFL for about 3-4 years. Not long enough.
Jerome Bettis-Close but Yes. He is the 6th all time leading rusher, but averaged only 3.9 YPC. Played 13 years mostly at a high level.
Tim Brown-YES. To me a no-brainer. Played at a very high level for about 15 years. Not only a top WR, but Special Teamer as well.
What do some of you think?

A buddy of mine thinks Jerome Bettis deserves to be in (he's a huge Steelers fan) . I don't think he gets in

This. Can't believe he's even being considered

Good assessment.
I wouldn't hold 3.9 YPC against Bettis because that was due in part to being used in a lot of short yardage situations. If it's 3rd and 1 and the RB picks up 2, he did his job.
Plus there were a few years in the middle of his career where teams were able to sell out against the run.

Longevity is nice, and could be used to put somebody over the hump. But it's overrated by most, in my opinion.
Using Bettis and TD as examples, since they're both up for it, Bettis had a 13 year career, but was only top 10 in rushing in 5 of those seasons. He was top 3 in 3 of those 5. 2 of the 3 he was behind TD.
Davis played 4 full seasons, was top 10 each of those four years, top 2 the other 3, and number 1 with. 2000 yard season. He's still 1 of 7 to ever do that.

How about Marvin Harrison. I say no Bc hes a murdering TPOS but my friends disagree.

Warner more than deserves to be in

Forgot about Marvin. On field play is a definite yes. Off field problems makes him a no. Should off the field problems be a factor when voting? I say yes.

Lawrence Taylor got in.
Interestingly, Cooperstown has a morals clause in its rules while Canton doesn't. But Ty Cobb is in the Baseball HOF and that makes their character clause a joke.

Was a top level QB for about 4-5 years. Not long enough in my opinion. To many of these types are getting in and watering down the HOF. The only QBs I can remember watching, since about '78, that are true HOF QB's are Staubach, Montana, Marino, Elway, and Favre. Of course, current QB's that should be in are Brady and Manning. If Rodgers does what he's doing about 4-5 more years he should. Aikman, Young, Kelly, Fouts, Moon, and Bradshaw shouldn't be in. QB's not in and shouldn't be, but probably will, are Warner and Big Ben.

I am a huge Reds and Pete Rose fan. I think he should be in.

If anyone deserves it, he does.
