Anyway, so apparently my coworker isn't crazy. Either way, i'd rather live in Lakewood inside the loop with a large lot than have some 4000sq ft Mcmansion in Frisco with a 2 hour commute everyday. We

Anyway, talking to a coworker who said they're looking for a house. I suggested Lakewood. He said the houses are too small in my area of Lakewood as each person living there needs approx 600-700 sq ft of space. So for a family of 4, you'd need a 2800sq ft house by his standards, which he tells me is common practice.

2800 sqft is not insane for a family of 4, but this sounds like some BS rule made up by a realtor trying to sell clients on buying more house than they need.

Square footage really isn't that important when you think about it. What you want to do with your space is what's important (how are you going to room the kids, do you want formal spaces like dinning, formal living room, office, etc.)

It won't at all unless you go by the stadium, even then it might add 20 minutes but that is it.

My house is 1590 sq ft and I have 2 kids. Plenty big enough for our needs.

I have over 4000 sq feet in my house and with the kids and all our stuff, the space seems to close in as the years go along and we acquire more things.

I do get why he say he can't go under 2800

Sounds like you need a better bank! My place is only 1250 sq feet but its just me and my building is literally in the single best location in Scottsdale and only has 85 lofts so I feel kind of special.

Sq footage was the last thing I looked at when I bought a house, I'm in Richardson so most the old houses are 1.5 bathrooms. I looked for 3+ bedrooms and 2 bath In my price range and in a good neighborhood. In Dallas pretty much every home can support a family of 4, they are all pretty big.

Off subject I am a huge fan of the Lakewood area, worked at the country club in high school, used to eat on the porch at Matt's TeX Mex like everyday in the summer

My house is about 1500 sqft, which for myself, is plenty of room. I built some small cabins and yurts for workers, cabins around 600 sqft and yurts at 850. The wook-arse college kids love them, but the random older fricks that work for a week or two bitch. Sorry I don't put cable in a 8k building, you bastards.

Women have many wants that they consider needs. The more they have, the more they need.

They're pretty rad. I lived in one of the shitty tents while the house was being built.
