University of Tennessee 2010 -27 enrolled 2011 -26 enrolled 2012 -23 enrolled 2013 -23 enrolled 2014 -32 enrolled 2015 -29? Would the numbers experts please elaborate on this please.

There are a lot of loopholes within the rules that allow for this. I am not 100% positive but they had a number of guys that were "grayshirts" and "blueshirts". Really unusual rules that I know were made for some other reason, but schools now use them as loopholes to help the number. But having classes that fluctuate like they are now is good/bad. Also if I am not mistaken they initially signed so many, fully knowing some would not make it to campus or to some effect like that.

It was talked about for months on the SEC recruit board, but was so confusing and jumbled, nobody really cared, just care about the guys that are actually going to be on scholarship and on your roster the next year, and for future years for position group numbers.

Only numbers that truly matter at the end of the day.....
2012 5-7 (I know not Butch Jones)
2013 5-7
2014 7-6

Yes he is slowly building the program back up. Only problem is that these last two recruiting classes have created a bubble. Butch will need at least 9 wins by year 4 or he will be gone.

How does all of this relate to LSU recruiting you say?
1) You have to watch or at least recognize how good or bad the other schools in your conference are doing in recruiting, regardless of whether you play them.
2) Bama is their permanent, enough said. (I really do not care who wins, would actually rather Bama every year, so when LSU plays them it is a better win always.)
3) Where they are located, they directly recruit with UA and AU, which is a huge deal. Would much rather a talented guy go to UGA or UT over the West powers.

LSU ain't signing a full class this year - get over it.

I'll eat a duck if they do

If there are spots left over after signing day Les and crew will fill those spots just like they did last season. LSU had 23 signees on signing day last year and filled those final two spots later with Collin Jeter and Jevonte Domind.
