4,567 yards and 49 touchdowns with only six interceptions this past season, a 4.0 GPA with no off the field issues- and no one is giving him a look?

Anyone know if there's a backstory with this kid??

Decent arm, good touch, great footwork, vision etc.

Weird situation. Looks good enough to me.

Read that yesterday. Would think with his size and those numbers someone would have offered him. Especially with his GPA. Didn't have the best arm but I've seen worse with offers and had decent athleticism. Pretty crazy

Okay, looks like I'm a Kraut.

But does anyone know why- other than he plays in NM- no one is recruiting this kid? Seems odd as hell, to me....

Still on size and arm potential and even smarts alone you'd think he would get some looks. They also play 6a, the highest level, and they do travel to Texas to play some teams. And still he's playing along with the same talent on his team vs his competition and beat out a Michigan QB commit I believe?

Very strange stuff and bad fortune for now..

Looks better than McMillian to me who I think was a play for Lodge but what do I know.

I think Lodge definitely helped make McMillian much more than the opposite, but I think winning back to back state championships in 5A and 6A in the state of Texas is WAYYYYYY different and much more impressive than winning a state championship in New Mexico.

Posted this in one of the other threads.

I live in New Mexico and saw every one of this kid's games this year. He is an absolute beast. Quick feet, quick release, comfortable throwing screens and short to intermediate routes.

Put up tremendous numbers with an undersized offensive line and only one receiver with real skill.

Probably one of his most impressive talents was the ability to check in to and out of plays at the line like he he had memorized the defensive playbooks.

My kid goes to Rio Rancho with him and he is by all reports a great kid with a great attitude and tremendously intelligent.

No idea why he's not getting offers.

Not to take from McMillian's accomplishments but he wasn't exactly surrounded by mashed potatoes carrying the team on his back. He was rotated in and out in the championship game, so there is that also.

I'm just going by what I see and that's,,,that.

Whatever school ends up snagging this kid is going to get a good player.

Look- If all you're going to do is bitch and whine like someone just kicked your French Poodle, "ignore it". It's not hard.

Thanks to the rest of you who responded with similar interest in this kid's story.

I know we rarely if ever look that far west but every thing I found looks good for this young man.
His coach promotes him to be of good character, his GPA is very good and his performance is documented.
I hope somebody here "knows a guy" that could at least throw his name up for consideration.

I couldn't agree more. I'd love to see LSU give him some consideration. It would be quite a story, to boot...
