With securing CVO, will the belief that Grimes wasn't getting the job done fade away now? Or is he still not impressing many?

People will always bitch and be impatient. His scheme looked bad early because it is more complex and our guys were learning along the way. Once they adjusted, they blocked their asses off. Run blocking speaks for itself, but pass protection was also good. Just didn't have the means to take advantage. We have a 4/5 star in Teuhema and now a 4/5 star in Okeke. We have generally lacked the elite prospects across the board, but he already seems to be bucking the trend.

To answer your original question, I'd say the jury is still out.

Only because he's had one class to recruit for. His Oline was good last year and he has really good recruits in his first impact year in recruiting. Too early to tell either way.

Went up from a C to a B+ in my book. The other day, I said that since Teuhema was committed before Grimes was hired, he only had to hold him (still gets credit for that). But I was disappointed that Brown was the biggest OOS OL he had committed. I don't blame him for Tillery because it is obvious now LSU never had a chance with him from LA.

But yeah, each year, he needs to get at least one stud OL from OOS because quite frankly, LA is great with WRers, DBs, etc...with positions like QB and OL not so much...USUALLY
