He hasn't even finished his second season yet. Watching him block shots these past two seasons has been a real treat. He times his jumps and positions his body with such skill.

1. Shaquille O’Neal 1989-92 412
2. Jordan Mickey 2013-?? 177
3. Chris Johnson 2005-09 176
4. Stromile Swift 1998-00 130
5. Storm Warren 2008-12 121

Shaq still has more than twice as many. Incredible how dominant he was.

Didn't he just say Tyrus would be tops if he stayed?

Probably wouldn't be, but I don't see why he had to edit?

Shaq AVERAGED 4.6 blocks per game and 6.0 per 40 minutes over 3 years.

That's outrageous.

5.0 and 5.2 bpg and 6.4 and 6.5 bp40m his sophomore and junior seasons.

ETA:

For comparison, Mickey is averaging 3.3 bpg and 4.0 bp40m over his career.

I heard the announcers mention this last night. Didn't realize that Shaq was that dominate of a pass blocker

Obviously Shaq's numbers are very impressive, but he does have 5 inches in height on Mickey.

No one will ever catch Shaq.

I'd like to know the all time NCAA record for career and season.

I think Anthony Davis broke Shaq's single season block record, not sure if it was SEC only or NCAA.

I agree, but there a lot of 7 footers that aren't great at blocking lots of shots.
