Culling means something different to me.

Culling = throwing it back / not keeping it. If it legal I keep it. If I keep it I eat it

I have seen people cull up like you see in tournaments to keep the largest sack(legal limit) possible. To fry. NTTIAWWT

Ive done it. Hell I can only keep 10 bass. Some times I keep my fist legal 10 and head home. Other times ive got my 10 and fished around trying to cull some of the smaller one. I like frying fish and everyone in my house will devour it. If I can get an extra 3 nuggets to fry per fish then that just makes sense.

Also allow me to clarify one thing. I don't fish very many places that are what would be a "lake". Ive caught more bass in flood water that would normally be dry land than in any lake. A good runout going across a submerged gravel road is Mecca for me. If I was fishing an enclosed bank then of course I wouldn't keep the "breeders". Still love those 14" footballs more than anything else

I usually keep 10-14 inchers to fry. If I catch a 2/3 lb I'll keep and blacken for me and my so. Anything else and I'll either mount or throw back.
