401K question

My company matches 100% of the first 3% put in and 50% of the next 2% is this good or is it more of a standard.

Pretty good. You put in 5 they put in 4. I've seen much much worse.

A better match would be rare, a lesser match would be common. I would not complain about it at all.

I've audited a good amount of 401k plans and that match is better than 80% of the ones I see.

that's the same as our match, and I am extremely thankful for it

So I should consider myself fortunate for 100% of 6%.
