Watched the games where many times the guy disappeared. In the TCU game for example, the announcers FINALLY mentioned his name midway through the 3rd quarter and said "this is the first time we have mentioned Robert N's name in this game."

You're dreaming or on drugs if you think he is a top 5 pick. He isn't even a 1st round pick. Oh, and please don't use the old SCAM where 1 or 2 unnamed NFL scouts are referenced. I see that every year with LSU players and end up like 2 rounds lower or not drafted at all.

It's gonna be a fight to the finish with him. He's kicking the tires at Bama now too, and has that visit to y'all this weekend. Too close to call.

Bama gonna take every five star?

Hasn't even been mentioned with them since then.

Except that he made an impromptu stop there last night.

I don't think he goes there either, but you can't dismiss the possibility outright.

You may want to concede your argument and address other posters over the age of 12.

I'll give you two reasons why LSU has a BETTER chance IMO with Jefferson than anyone else. And I won't even use Orgeron. 1) his last visit is to LSU and he has mentioned LSU in his usual list 2) he can read the depth chart just like everyone else...0 returning starters DEs. Plus, Steele has promised an aggressive defense as opposed to Chavis' marshmellow one where clearly his top priority was not to put pressure on the QBs.

Yeahn or debate RATeamWannabe...don't worry about facts or logic...he doesn't burden his posts with any of that nonsense. As soon as he gets his head out of the way, he just pulls his "facts" out of that same area.

Robert N may be the most underachieving player I've seen in awhile. When he got to the SEC and saw that that high school bull rush didn't work when the people are your size he's basically been almost a non factor outside of plays made just from pure athleticism. He was moved inside for that reason because he spent the entire season running up field and past plays because he knows no responsibility and no technique. Easiest lineman in the SEC to influence block. The highlight of his career so far has been a fake punt lol. That just about sums it up

But....but....but....Robert N is a top 5 NFL pick after his JR year. Robert N is a JOKE as an impact player. As I stated, he is a DECENT starting caliber SEC DL. That is it! Unless he improves dramatically, he is NOT a 1st round pick...he is NOT a 2nd round pick...he is NOT a 3rd round pick. Right now after 2 years of playing, he is like a 4th round NFL draft pick. Hey, maybe that Ole Miss fan meant "top 5 rounds NFL pick"...that I will agree with.

BTW, he was also moved inside because he is TOO SLOW to play DE. I have watched football for decades and have never seen a DE literally line up about 15 yards to the side of the center on the other side of the LOS. That told me the obvious...isn't fast enough to cover the end so he has to skew his lineup towards the sideline. BTW, I saw the same problem in the allstar game he played in...I saw a QB run away from him (not even a sprint champion himself) like he was standing still...he is slow! Jefferson explodes a lot more than Robert N did on his best day.

We agree on alot of thing....BUT that mf isn't slow by any stretch of the imagination. If he's split out so wide if anything its to use his strait line speed better vs OT's but he's actually blazing fast for his size which is ashamed.

He is slow for a DE...I didn't say he was slow for a DT. And nooooooo, you apparently didn't see the game as a FR that he played in that alignment. He was way too far away from the QB to get there. He reminded me of the S and CBs who blitz from so far away that the QB would have to add mustard to his hot dog sitting back there to sack the QB.

Once again, if he was a stud DE, he would have stayed there. DE is the most important position on the DL...particularly RDE for a righthanded QB. He couldn't cut it at DE and they moved him inside.

Eye I was buying what you were selling until I did some searching.

15 Draft Eligible players in 2016

"2. Robert Nkemdiche, DT, Ole Miss
2013 247Sports Composite Rank: Five-Star, No. 1 overall, No. 1 Strong-Side Defensive End

Nkemdiche was the most highly-regarded of four five-star recruits the Rebels picked up in the 2013 cycle, two of which precede him on this list. The 6-foot-4, 280-pound, versatile defensive lineman doesn't put up huge numbers, but he undoubtedly makes a huge impact for the "Land Shark" defense. Playing both DE and DT as a freshman, he earned a spot on the 247Sports True Freshman All-American 2nd-Team, before making a permanent move to DT as a sophomore and being named 1st-Team All-SEC by the Associated Press and 2nd-Team All-American by CBSSports.com. In two seasons, he has played in 24 games (23 starts), registering 69 tackles, 12 tackles for loss and four sacks. His combination of size, athleticism, raw power (see the video below) and the fact that he can play anywhere along the defensive line and in multiple schemes (like USC's Leonard Williams) will earn him consideration as next year's top overall player."

That's 247 sports. I also saw like 3 others that all gave him props.

Bleacher report - Another article

10. It seems like every year we hear that next year's draft will be great, but when starting to look ahead to 2016 while evaluating this year's class, it's impossible to overlook the talent at Ole Miss.

Defensive tackle Robert Nkemdiche, left tackle Laremy Tunsil and wide receiver Laquan Treadwell are all top-tier players at their positions already. By the time the 2016 draft is here, if they can all stay healthy, we could see Ole Miss dominate the top 10 picks of the draft and easily have two players drafted in the top five picks.

Sounds like the same type of draft analysis that I have seen for year where LSU players are always hyped up and some don't even get drafted. BTW, looked up the All SEC coaches teams for 2014...1st and 2nd team. Robert N NOT on either team. Oh, and one thing I really laughed at. Since when is a SUPPOSED stud DE moved to DT? His #1 prospect status was as a DE. Soooo, now DT is an "upgrade" to DE? I would never had guessed that.

Prediction: 4th round NFL pick...and the SEC coaches seem to be agreeing with me.

Agree. He has the ability, but not even close to top 15 at this point. Way overrated as of now. Possibly due to work ethic, but who knows. GM that chooses him over his physique will be sorry.

I remember RN's name mentioned once in our game against them. He couldn't beat Porter, think about that...And he was the next big thing. Football is a humbling sport.
