“It was my most frustrating season,” said Brees, walking out of the losing Team Carter locker room at the Pro Bowl on Sunday night. “You never want to go 7-9. It’s no fun.”
quote:
Don’t mention the word talent to Brees, not after this season.
“I hate the word talent. I hate it,” Brees said. “Some of the best players I ever played with, or best teammates that I ever played with, that wasn’t their best quality. Everybody’s talented. Their best quality was their work ethic, their leadership ability, their ability to fight through adversity, toughness, reliability. Those are the things I most value.”
quote:
The good news for Saints fans is, after meeting with Payton and Loomis, Brees is confident the front office realized the error of its ways and has a better plan in place entering this offseason.
“I think we’ve identified the problems or the things that got us beat or the things that didn’t allow us to be as good as we know we can be, and we have the solution to fix it,” said Brees, before boarding the bus out of the Pro Bowl. “It’s going to take a lot of work, but I know we can get it done.”

Very good news indeed.

“I think we’ve identified the problems or the things that got us beat or the things that didn’t allow us to be as good as we know we can be, first we need to stay in Metairie for training camp so these guys can sweat and not be such pussies and second we need new interior lineman so I'm not running for my life every play,” said Brees, before boarding the bus out of the Pro Bowl. “It’s going to take a lot of work, but I know we can get it done.”
Fixed it for him.....

Well that explains a lot at a lot of positions on this team

But you know what he means. He's talking about Colston, Strief, PT, Vilma, etc.

If anything, Brees meeting with the head coach and general manager about the success of the team and problem solving together should at least shut the morons up that think Brees is a problem on this team.

But it wont.

These were obviously the problems behind closed doors this season - they keep getting repeated. There were lazy, entitled people on the team.

After saying goodbye to aging veterans like Darren Sproles, Charles Brown, Brian De La Puente, Roman Harper, Jed Collins, Will Smith, Jabari Greer, Will Herring and Kenyon Coleman, the Saints went younger, and it cost them.
They're kinda stretching the importance of some of these peeps.

King is right.
The team was talented this season...possibly more talented than the 2013 team that won a playoff game away.
But we just sucked...in every phase.
The team looked indifferent and disorganized.
It's a huge problem when a team underachieves.
We really need to hope the higher-ups know what they're doing now.

"The team looked indifferent and disorganized.

This is what is scary as its a first under CSP.
Maybe 07 and 10 come closest to last year.
But as many have noticed games like the home game vs the bungles were just to common. Lifeless.
I think the team captains must do more. Listening to former players talk about it its the captains who have the pulse of the team. They know more(should) about the players than does the coaching staff as a whole.
My biggest hope is that its not that the team has tuned out the way CSP goes about his business but its the the youth we have now(youngest since CSP got here?) and the loss of several leaders last year.

Another training camp in WV so Sean Payton can be near his new slam piece.
