Our entire hvac system is brand new. We've got honeywell pro3000 thermostats, both upstairs and down. Its set on 69, and the temp in the house is 69. After a bit, its still 69, but the thermostat kicks on the heat pump anyway.... Why??!!!!!?!!!!

It's not the heat, it's the humidity.

Truly.

Did a joke go over my head? I'm not following.

I definitely don't have humidifier or dehumidifier on my system...

Usually there is an adjustment you can set in the settings on the thermostat .. Controls when it comes on and how long you want it to stay on (on the temp or one - two degrees higher or lower) try that. Im not a professional but I have had the same issue in the past. .. Hope it helps

Thanks man-Thats how my old one worked, it had the temperature differential setting. This one just doesn't have that anywhere....It seems to have a cycles per hour thing...but the downstairs thermostat is set the same way and it isn't cycling as frequently.
