This one may be ruled a clean shooting, but morally I think it was a bad choice.
I had a similar encounter a few years ago in Mall City. I chose not to fire. The kid ended up leaving the gun on the ground after a few quick attempts to pick it back up.
When I caught him I made it a point to tell him how close he came to catching some rounds for his actions. He said he didn't think a white boy could catch him and that he though he had enough time to pick it back up.
