Where should I go shoot today around New Orleans?

I was supposed to go to a buddy's camp, and as usual, he bailed again. Nothing more annoying because my truck is already loaded up and the four wheeler is in the back gassed up. Wanted to shoot some tree rats and shoot my 22 at 100 yards.
Since he nixed that outing, I still want to shoot at 100, but I think I want to bring my little sister with me to also shoot and shoot pistols at the same time.
I know there are a bunch of shitty ranges around New Orleans, but is there anywhere decent that I can do both?
I guess my options are:
High Pernt
Honey Island
Nick's
Tallow Creek

You may as well start in the Ninth Ward. Once you have filled your daily bag limit, a drive to Honey Island will be warranted.

Been there done that
The ninth ward has two things that stand out....million dollar celebrity built homes next to burned down abandoned houses (lower), and professional grafitti (upper).
Didn't know the condition of Honey Island, so I was hoping CD or Pepperidge would speak up

Honey Island Range is just fine...you may get your vehicle a little muddy because of the rains the past 2 days though...
a week ago Tuesday the LDWF graded the road off hwy 11 and kinda made a few spots soupy...
We had a huge work week a couple months ago and everything is functioning and in good working order with a completely rebuilt rimfire section...
The pistol plates were also overhauled and work great and the berms were pushed up to 10' higher on both the rifle and pistol line...A new PA system was installed to help everyone hear the range commands better than the old method of using the megaphones...
so yeah...the range is good.

Cool. I don't mind getting dirty. Truck is already dirty from a UNO parking lot.
You're not working today? Also, do yall have targets out there, or should I bring my own?

No...not working today...I worked last Friday.
they sell a broad range of targets...maybe 10 different kinds(?) for 2/$1
ETA: these are all standard target paper black on white...if you want Shoot n C targets or anything special, you'll have to bring your own...

Pepperidge,
I'm working a shift next Friday. See u out there?
Hammertime,
Sorry I'm late to replying to this. Been working all day then had to set up my Mother-in-law's new laptop when I got home...
Any time you want to go to Honey Island on a weekday and not be bothered with a full range, let me know. I work shift work so I'm off on weekdays a lot and will gladly go out there with you. Just give me a few days notice so I can let u know if I'm off or not. (one of the perks of being a range officer, being able to go when the range is closed to the public and bring anyone I want)
I've said it before... This offer extends to anyone on the OB as well.
Also... HIGH POINT? In Belle Chasse? That place still open?
My dad was a member there in the mid to late 80s. I shot many a skeet out there. Place used to be a beautiful and top notch facility back then... I'd heard they got shut down in the 90s for doing bird hunts over baited fields?

I may work it...one of the RO's asked for a substitute (10 times LOL) so I responded...
Are you going to the annual meeting Wednesday at 7pm?

Will do man. I think I'm pretty busy next week with homework, but I'll BC you if not. Actually went to Tallow Creek today because I had to drop off a four wheeler in Mandeville.
It was muddy, the bean bags were soaking wet, and from what I saw of the skeet shooting, the clays were just flying when they wanted to. The guy next to me was also shooting a 338

338...yikes!
On one of my recent shifts at H. I., I was doing some sweeping towards the end of shift. Some folks were slinging 50cal from an AR-50 on our last lane. I was sweeping the lane next to it and without warning they decided to start shooting again after taking a long break.
Scared the everloving crap out of me!

I got her email 11 times... I wouldn't work her shift on principle, alone, just because. LOL.
And yes. I'll be at the meeting Wednesday.

Yall ever thought about an OBGT over there? IIRC, there was one a couple of years ago, but only like 3 people showed up

For it to happen on a weekend, everyone would have to pay their own way. And it'd be hard to get lanes next to one another if it's busy.
The other option is a weekday we the range is closed to the public but open to range officers, but I don't see many people showing up on a weekday.

Were you able to make it out there?

No, my little sister didn't have much time, so we just shot in Harahan. Next day had to go to Mandeville to bring back a four wheeler, and my dad was at Tallow Creek, so I met him there and shot at 100. That place is pretty much a shite hole.
I am gonna try and make it either this week or next
