No doubt. That may have been one of the best fight scenes I've ever seen on tv. It had everything from a hatchet, scalpels, hand to hand, out in the open, in the confinement of a car, and throat rippage. It was freaking intense. I didn't think the psychopath guy would make it either. I figure he would bleed out after ripping her throat out. That was an awesome fight scene.
But the rest of the episode was pretty darn intense also. Hood did some work in that one. It'll be interesting to see what to chick cop does now that she knows he's a criminal.
I can't believe Banshee doesn't get more play on this board. It is a pretty darn good show.

It's been a while since I watched ... But did they ever kill rabbit ?
And did the " real " cop son ever come to town ?

Both of those played out last season.
ETA: Btw, you should get back into watching it. It has turned out to be a really good series (if you suspend your disbelief that an ex-con can pretend to be the sheriff of a town).

Might have been their best episode ever.
Great fight scene and it proved why Indians were eventually dominated lol. Just use a gun next time.
I see a cat fight between the hospice nurse and the niece.
Hood and the 18 wheeler scene. Just awesome

Yeah, something ain't right with that hospice nurse. She walked in on the psycho stitching up gaping hatchet wounds and didn't even flinch. Just walked right on up and started to stitch it for him, even though the dude looked like he might just kill her. Something ain't right with that girl.

I think the hospice nurse is going to become the new "mom" to that fricked up family.
They need to get rid of Carrie his ex girl. She's annoying and whiney. Boo hoo my life sucks because I am a horrible wife and mother.

I think hood corrupts his cop girl too. I feel bad for the new Indian cop. His heart was in the right place but he is fricked now with chaitan.
Btw anyone else notice that chaitan is easily controlled by woman? I think that comes into play. I do know he is about to wreck shop now that his girl and brother are dead.

I couldn't agree more. It was bearable last season since it was a major story plot for the season, but it carrying over to this season is freaking annoying. They either need to kill her off, or allow her to move on from her self-pity and embrace her life decisions.

I also think hood is more badass than they let on. I do not even think rabbit knew who he was. If you listen the hoods interrogation with the cop I'm the videos he had no name only calling himself John smith. What if hood is like super deep cover? That would be a huge mindfrick to everyone.

Heck, he's already corrupted her and Brock. They freaking hunted down the black cop's killer and killed his arse in cold blood. That new indian cop is no doubt in for a rude awakening as some point this season.

Yeah, he definitely has a past that Carrie probably doesn't even know about. In either the last or 2nd to last episode of last season, Carrie asks him and that big black chinese gang leader dude how they know each other and he wouldn't tell her. If I remember right, the black chinese dude called him a soldier or something. I'm thinking that Hood is actually some sort of ex-special forces dude (which would explain why he can fight so good). I don't think he is in some sort of ultra deep anti-organised crime cover or anything, but I wouldn't rule it out either. He definitely has a lot more going on with his past than we know.

I watched the episode last night because the wife was out of town last night and really liked it despite not knowing context other than that an ex con is playing sheriff. Could have done without the throat ripping scene, but really liked the grittiness if it.
I went back and watched the first 2 on demand. Reminds me of if Justified was made on HBO. Good stuff.
I can't tell how I'm supposed to feel about hood as the protagonist. Probably about the same as I do about the Americans.

If you've only watched this season's episodes, I can see where you would be a little unsure about how you should feel about Hood. At times throughout the first two seasons they actually wrote it to where the audience felt somewhat sympathetic for him with some of the plot points. I mean he is a career criminal who has no qualms about killing a guy, but he still tries to do the "right thing" when he's wearing the badge (just like how he was with the FBI agent at the end of last night's episode). He is very loyal to his "friends" throughout the show also, and they in turn end up being very loyal to him (including the cops under him that don't know that he isn't really Sheriff Hood, but know something ain't right with him).

Well I can tell he's going to be a little more morally ambiguous than somebody like Raylan Givens when he beat the dudes at the rave party and has killed 3 guys as sheriff in the first 2 episodes of the first season.

Oh yeah, he'd much rather kill a perp than have to haul his arse to jail.
He is without a doubt a full blown criminal, unlike Raylan who is a lawman a heart. But he does try and enforce "justice" has he sees it (which usually isn't how the law would see it).

Love this show.
Where else can you see a bitch getting her throat torn out and a 400 lb fat dude getting flattened by an 18 wheeler ?

Isn't the nurse Brock's ex?

Yes. She is going to play a key role this season. Just not sure how yet.
