I realize that there are other American Sniper threads. But I wanted to aim this one more towards other Veterans that have seen the movie.
I went to see American Sniper last weekend and it has haunted/hung with me ever since. So much so that I don't think I can deal with seeing it again for quite a while. I didn't experience this feeling with other Iraq/Afghanistan based movies. It did a pretty damn good job of showing what it's like to deal with PTSD, the guilt of dealing with the real world and wanting to get back to the fight and support your Battle Buddies.
I guess my question for fellow Veterans is have any of you seen it more than once? Did the movie hit home with you or hang with you? How has it affected you?

When it was time to go home, it was time to go home. I did my part.
I am likely in the minority in this situation but I never really felt the PTSD thing nor did any of my close friends that I knew of. Some anxiety sure, but nothing of that magnitude. Of course I wasn't out there sniping children or even doing door to doors in Iraq. We mostly did DA operations on houses and stuff like that at night.
