best place to find distressed/reclaimed wood around BR?

I am redoing a bathroom and I am thinking about making a portion of the walls wood. I was hoping to find some old/distressed wood to give it a "rustic" feel. Does anyone know where some sources for this type of wood might be around BR? I know there is some available on CL, but most of that is cypress and is pretty expensive.

What about using old pallets? Those are cheap (a lot of the time they are free) and they are very "chic" right now.

I was actually thinking about this. It's not a bad place to start for sure for cheap materials.

Go country driving, locate old toolsheds, offer the owner to take down if he gives you all the wood.

Check Craigslist - there are ads for this on there frequently.

Try places like Habitat for Humanity. Search for architectural salvage.

Call a fence company and see if they're replacing a wooden fence anytime soon. Should have plenty of wood to choose from.

They have a Home Depot style store at Airline and Plank.

They list items for sale on their Facebook Page

Wow that stuff does look really nice. I am guessing it is pretty expensive though.

You want nice or do you want cheap?

I would prefer the nice stuff, but it's not in the budget right now. The old pallets or fence boards might come out pretty good for a low price.

+1 on antique woods of LA. The Burks have a top notch operation, and mr Shawn played LB for LSU so it's a win win
