When did we start calling arrogance 'Swag"?

Seems like I always hear, in the defense of out-of-touch, ignorant, and aimless young men, that the arrogance they spew is called 'SWAG' and I am apparently the idiot for not realizing how these youth have it all figured out.
Seems since the beginning of time, we learn time and again that pride comes before the fall.
Am I just out of touch, upset that my own swag could use reform?

Swag is mandatory for the fry cook position. The kid who went to school and graduated with a 1.4 GPA should be sure to show his swag to anyone interviewing him for whatever menial job he is applying for.

The word swag to me just means black people with color coordinated outfits. I may be out of touch.
