It closed during the summer in 2013 and just opened a driving range a couple months ago. I looks like they are doing some renovations in where the clubhouse was.

Unfortunately, golf is a dying sport. Pains me to say this, but take a look at data from across the nation.

Golf is not dying, it's just that people don't want to pay outrageous prices. Golf itself is an outstanding time if you have the means to enjoy it.

Ok, thanks for the clarification. I guess the statistical facts are fabricated.

Not sure if it is dying or just returning to the Pre-Tiger participation levels.....

Maybe the "Fad" portion is wearing off and the golf die-hards are left playing.

Tiger Woods was the best thing for getting Gen X'ers and Millenials to play the sport... then he fricked that up.

He didn't frick it up, he was banging tons of women

I bet more people got into golf bc of this than people that stopped watching bc his actions

Pretty sure they had a big meeting about that place last night. No clue what came out of it. I give it zero chances of re-opening.

Not to mention that area is less than desirable, this isn't 1988.

Golf isn't dying, it's just falling back to its pre 90's golf course boom.

HBO Real Sports interviewed the CEO of TaylorMade a while ago who was pushing to implement 15-inch holes to encourage more people to play. It looked pretty ridiculous.

That would be because Tiger Woods is getting old.
