Granted, it was "make a bold prediction" on an early Grantland basketball show, but Simmons and Jalen were saying shite like Cleveland could go 40-1 at home.

It did not look like a huge reach at the time.

Yes it did.

They were going to go through growing pains.

Even as mediocre as they have been this is the best start in Kyrie and Love's careers.

They lacked a rim protector.

We knew their defense was going to be bad.

The minute accumulation was already showing signs of effecting LeBron's regular season performance last season, especially on the defensive end.

IDK when they took those #s but I believe the Lakers were under 20, they were under 25 FOR SURE, right before the season started.

Well at least half of this does sound familiar.

It was still believed though that they would at least outscore teams. There were not a lot of good offensive teams in the East heading into the season. There have certainly been some surprises there.

Some of these always seem so obvious when you look at them during the season. In every sport, too.

I need better foresight and bigger balls

Felt really good about the Grizzlies since they won 50 last year with a shite ton of injuries.

I do think I picked the Warriors to go under though.

Absolutely. While the numbers listed are too high, they aren't all that crazy. Cleveland was fresh off an 8 game win streak and 17-10 when Varejao went down. That was after starting 5-7. Have gone 6-10 since he got hurt with 4 of those wins coming in their last 4 games with a big finally in place. There really is no telling how many they would have won had AV stayed healthy. I absolutely think they are better with the personnel in place now, but they have gone

Yeah I don't know what people were thinking when picking the Grizzlies to only win like 40-something games.

The only reason they "only" won 50 last year was because they had injuries.
