I'm trying to decide on what to where for this interview I have Friday. It's at an engineering firm that's daily dress is business casual. I originally nixed the suit for a blazer. Now I can't find my blazer and am having second thoughts on wearing the suit or not.

Is a shirt and tie gonna land me the job?

Unless it's for a hip tech company, I doubt you can overdress. No one will hold it against you for looking your best.

Shirt and tie looks like a 12 yr old at a funeral; wear a suit.

Scruffy assumed you always wear a suit and tie to an interview.

That's what he wears to all of his.

My firms daily dress is business casual, anyone who interviews from the outside, or internal folks interviewing for a promotion always wear a suit and tie. Better to be overdressed than underdressed.

Dude, if you can't figure this one out on your own then you're already fricked on the job.

Hopefully there won't be a grammar test as part of the interview.

I mean, shite, I wore a suit and tie for my first job at a golf course at 14.

What would people at engineering firms know or care about fashion?
