Who has sold something on Gun Broker? (paging Sulzer)

I'm listing my ACR on GB tonight but I need to figure out some details.
They seem to make it pretty easy. My biggest question is how do I ship? Can I ship straight from my house to an FFL? Or does it have to be shipped from one FFL to another?
If C from Sulzer Firearms is available, I would certainly love to use him for shipping.
TIA

If the buyer's FFL accepts shipment from an individual / non-FFL you can ship directly to the FFL. You will have to use UPS or Fedex.
An FFL can ship via USPS for you and his fee combined with the lower USPS cost could save you money over UPS or Fedex.

Does the rifle have to be in a locked case or anything? The original case I bought with it I gave to someone else. So the rifle is just loose.
I can field strip it too if needed.

Does not have to be locked but you should package very well to avoid damage claims by the buyer. Do not indicate it is a firearm on the package. UPS and Fedex will require overnight shipping (at least they do for handguns).
Are you offereing a non-firing inspection period? Will you accept bids from people with no feedback? Just other things to consider.

I haven't ever sold anything on GB so any advice is appreciated.
I have listed it on AR15.com, LA Sportsman, and some Facebook pages. So many people tried to trade me stuff, but nothing I was interested in. So I'm stuck with it right now.

I would be wary of selling to someone with no feedback, although the risk is lower than buying from someone with no feedback. All buyers started at zero though when first joining GB.
Some buyers only bid if there is an inspection period. You open yourself to some risk with this though but with a possible reward of more action. Just have to decide that one for yourself I guess.
Take lots of detailed pictures in good light. Describe everything fully, including any defects.
No reserve auctions that start at $.01 get lots of bidding action, but you lose control of the final price to some extent. You can add a Buy It Now price to any auction. Again, you have to decide what works best for you.
State clearly if you are going to ship directly to an FFL b/c the buyer will have to verify that his FFL will accept. I prefer auctions where the shipping cost is stated up front.
Get a copy of the FFL and verify it is legit before shipping. Realize that some states have laws against certain firearms (NY, CA, etc).

Damn. Didn't realize it was this complicated.

Don't let the details discourage you too badly. Just make a plan and do some homework before listing. GB is the best means available today to sell a gun and realize the highest price IMO.
Your other option if you don't want to go online is to take it to a local gun show and try to do a private sale.

Damn that's actually a great idea. I think Lamar Dixon has a show going on this weekend.

I have sold one gun on gunbroker and that was before I had my FFL. The guy I sold it to was using an FFL that did not accept shipments from individuals. I was also unaware at the time how to go about shipping guns. My only previous gun related shipping experience was with ammo and it was terrible. So, using an FFL was preferable to me at the time.
As far as the transaction went I stated in my auction that I accepted USPS money orders and I may have said PayPal too. Guy won the auction and mailed me a USPS money order. I lined up an FFL, paid his fee plus actual shipping and left the pre-packaged gun with him. My FFL kind of drug his feet on shipping it out, but other than that it was a good experience. Gunbroker invoices you for their cut at the end of the month. I have found that online (and in person really) it is customary to pay first and receive goods after. Some people try to play the "i have more feedback, you send first" game, but remember it's you're auction, you set the terms. The thing I love about selling guns vs. other goods via the internet is that if the person tries to frick me over I can have 2 federal and at least one local law enforcement agency up their arse without lube for stealing (not paying for) a firearm.
I have now received many many guns from gunbroker users. Some are FFLs and others aren't, doesn't matter to me or the ATF. I'm still not sure why some FFL's don't take shipments from individuals.
As for shipping, I use strictly USPS soley because it is convenient for me and the rates aren't bad compared to UPS or FedEX. The USPS on Bennington is probably not even half a mile from my office. And when you ship the latter you have to drive out to the hub, and I ain't trying to be the best at sitting in BR traffic on the bridge. I charge $10 for transfers incoming or outgoing. If you catch me at the right time I also have a plethora of boxes in various sizes and packing material, just bring some tape, and you can have at it.
I skimmed weagle's responses and his information seems spot on.

The only downside to that is you have to hang out at the gun show allll day.

And you probably won't get as much. Do you have to sell it now? I would just keep trying on the sportsman. Maybe list it on one of the many gun classified groups on facebook. List it on bayou shooter.
