I do think La Liga is number 1 right now. After that, the list isn't much better than absurd. There are way too many variables when formulating a list like this.

Qatar put a team in the FIFA Club World Cup, or whatever that meaningless tournament is called, good for them, they probably beat a team from Saudi Arabia to get there.

Why would I be bothered by these rankings? Anyone with half a brain realizes they are pish.

Real has been beasting it for sure, and Atletico and Barca are obviously strong teams too and tend to fare well in international competition. But Argentina ahead of the Bundesliga? Costa Rica's league ahead of MLS?

I don´t know. There are one or two Argentine league followers on here, aren´t there?

Apart from Bayern, wouldn´t the Argentines fare decently in Germany? Valid question, IMO. It is THE minor league for Spain and Italy, is it not?

Their national side did well. I´d imagine their basic players (those that can´t make it out of Costa Rica) are of the level of 99% of the MSL, wouldn´t you?

Uzbekistán really tumbled. I´d be pissed off, were I their federation chief.

Based on the CONCACAF CL, yes

Saprissa would be one of the best, if not the best, MLS team year in, year out. After that, I think the talent level drops off pretty quickly.

Edit: LD Alajuelense is right there too.

Bundesliga might be the deepest league in the world. The whole German system is wild with power clubs yoyoing bc how good smaller teams have gotten.

Bayern just had to frick it up
