Definitely a good album. I prefer GKMC though (if we're talking recent releases).

I guess it takes saying it's better than arguably the greatest hip hop album of all time to get people going

I mean Illmatic is up there but to say its possibly the best hip-hop album ever is as dumb as what the OP said. Just saying.

You think it can compare to All Eyez On Me for example? On what planet? Illmatic is great but come on! 36 Chambers vs it? Please!

In any legitimate hip hop conversation, Illmatic never goes beyond Top 5. 36 Chambers has a legitimate arguement as well. Once you narrow it down to 5 they are almost all interchangeable.

But All Eyez On Me? Nah. Not even Top 5. Hell, not even Top 10 imo.

You are nuts. Its the #1 album for any situation. Partying, fricking, driving, smoking etc.

I was literally coming here to ask the Board's thoughts of Joey. His new album is the first time I have ever listened to him and I feel as if I have been missing out on something special. His flow so u do like a mesh between Wu Tang (Ghostface in particular), Redman , and AZ. This kid has a bright future in hip hop

Dunno what you're talking about. I constantly see Illmatic in the discussion for GOAT.

Yeah that's what I said

Illmatic should never stop below Top 5 in any conversation.

You have.

1999 (mixtape)

Summer Knights (mixtape)

Both are solid.

Wait, did someone seriously just say all eyez on me in the same sentence as illmatic and 36 chambers.

Wow. Just wow.
