Old SW Louisiana Nostalgia: Ya'll remember a band, the Louisiana Yard Dogs?

they were in their hey day back in the early to mid 90s and played all around the state and TX but homebase was the lake charles area. I think they were actually from Vinton. they played originals and also covers of classic rock and some grunge stuff. They had some really good musicians. Anybody know whatever happened to them?

VH1 did a behind the music on them a while back.
The lead singer had an addiction to, of all things, ciggs. He couldn't shake them. They tried rehabbing him with deadlifts and nothing worked.

I remember their singer, name was Philthy PHil or something...I think you are right about the cigs if I remember correctly. they had a real good bass player too, I learned a lot watching him slap dat bass. memory is so foggy now.
