What are the M/TV Board's thoughts on the show?

I think that it is pretty suspenseful although some of the things they do in the show irritates the hell out of me. For starters, Liz Keen sux. She's hot and all but her character in the show does some pretty stupid things. And of course there are always scenes in shows like that that make you ask "Well why wouldn't they just do this?" For example, they constantly shoot to kill in this show when almost every situation could be ended by shooting them elsewhere on their body.

Other than her, I think the cast is pretty good given their role in the show. I like Reddington a lot. I wasn't much of a fan of Ressler at the beginning but I like his character development so far. For anyone who has seen the second season, how does it compare to Season 1?

Also, please don't post Season 2 spoilers

I enjoy the show. It isn't my favorite by any means but I kept watching season 1 on Netflix.

Unfortunately, without Reddington, the show would be terrible.

Liz Keen is indeed very stupid sometimes, but I think with any network TV show like this, you have to suspend some belief to enjoy the show.

The standard board analysis is that the show would be horrible without Spader.

I like the show but the supporting cast borders from bad to meh.

I am getting sick of the pet names for the weekly bad guy.

Of course you need to suspend disbelief for a show like this but the end of season 1 was more than I could take.

There wasn't even a bad reason for the plane full of Russian criminals to be near the US.

Chopping off his own hand was beyond stupid.

Lots of eyerolling at the end of the season.

I did enjoy season 2 up to the winter break.

Has season 2 started up again?

Seems most like it, some think it's too over the top.

Everyone loves Spader as Red. Even those that like the show think that Keen is possibly the dumbest FBI agent in history.

Season 2 was very good. Got deeper into almost all of the characters.

I will credit the writers as being able to maintain their bigger story arcs effectively, while still doing the "villain a week."

Spring season starts after the Super Bowl, I believe.
