Jennifer Lawrence teams up with James Cameron for "The Dive"

the project tells the story of Audrey Mestre and Francisco Ferraras, a real-world couple the set records by freediving as deep as possible without the help of any external breathing apparatus. Jennifer Lawrence will be played Mestre, who died in 2002 during one of the diving attempts.

the only thing is that the real life woman was French, so i don't know how it will come across with Jennifer doing in it in English unless she can speak French and the movie having subtitles

I just read the background and it's actually pretty crazy. The husband was responsible for her air tank and there was mysteriously no air in it. There are conspiracies that he wanted to murder her, or due to his narcissism, set up a situation where he would make a heroic rescue.
eta. don't know how they'll make a movie leading up to the dive that took her life, but I'm sure there's more to it.

Just want to pop in this thread and say JL is the absolute worst highly regarded thespian out there today.
