Has there been a more accurate depiction in cinema history than this scene?

"the waterboy" is the most accurate depiction of south Louisiana that has ever been put on screen

Well obviously excluding that movie, and Joe Dirt's depiction of Alabama fans.

That and the split screen scene where it shows what he thinks will happen and what actually happens. It was brilliant and heartbreaking at the same time.

I don't know about that

I wasn't joking about the waterboy.

the restaurant scene in pulp fiction when he wanders into an active, loud place while fricked up

Everytime I watch that clip I hope the elevator opens and she's getting railed but some douchebag jock who winks at JGL as the doors close again and they play the walking away sad music from the Hulk as he walks back down the hallway.

I realize there is more than a handful of "mistakes" in the opening scene of "saving private ryan"

but it officially gets my vote. WW2 vets who were apart of the invasion were shaken by watching it.

The OP isn't really my opinion of the "most accurate depiction in cinema history". Like you, I think the opening scene of Saving Private Ryan is the most accurate.

500 Days of Summer. That entire movie is fantastic.

And Waiting is far more accurate than anyone who hasn't held a restaurant job would like it to be.

waiting is a terrible movie, but instead it really just invites discussion...the general gist of it is accurate, but it is definitely overblown in some aspects, but not the ones that a former or current server identifies with...and yes, if you're rude, don't order food.

People thought Alec Guinness was Prince Feisal resurrected - people who had been alive at the time Faizal lived.

So, that was pretty accurate.

I like how this thread also turned into a Waiting appreciation sub-thread.
