He strikes me as a no nonsense type guy. I think him with coach o will balance each other out and lead to some great things. I was pissed off at first, but i'll shut up and watch.

all on the qb now.

He didn't have a panic attack, and he looked confident up there. I'll call that a win for his first day.

Doesnt matter anyway. Its time for our football team to stop relying on our defense anyways.

Yeah, no doubt, confident and organized about how he plans to get started. Quite the collective press conference with all three coaches. If that did not get you fired up inside about being a LSU Tiger, than your wood is wet and you need to find a new team to follow. GT!

don't they all?

I guess you never got to see Curley Hallman's PC when he was announced head coach. You would have thought that the Bear had risen from the grave to take over LSU's football program. lol

I don't remember this but it has been a while. A lot less media back then.

Man, I didn't get a good feeling on how he answered some of the scheme questions, but I liked all the aggressive talk. In reality, though, he has to see the players strengths and depth, and scheme from team to team, but I liked the overall buzz from today....

100% agree.

I was bummed last night but after watching his presser, the guy seems to know football. I liked his demeanor up there.

That's all it's ever about 6 of the last 7 years. The defense hasn't been the problem at LSU. The problem is no passing game and no QB development. Until that's fixed with an offense that isn't based out of the 1970's it will continue to be business as usual with LSU. I'm freaking pumped about getting Coach O but until the above mentioned problem gets fixed it won't matter what happens on the defensive side of the ball.

I remember when everyone was stoked on Dooley with his no-nonsense attitude.

After watching the presser of Steele and O I would go to war for O. I would have a latte with Steele. They bring a healthy balance, I hope.

I am still wondering who will call the defensive plays. The presser primarily focused on recruiting which is good, but someone has to call a play.
Not one person, article, or "source" has said Steele is a good play caller. He may coach well, scheme well, but somebody has to call the D plays.

I noticed that too. I think he was severely uncomfortable or nervous. I would have preferred him to be a little sharper, but I still support him.
