The first CC i ever got has the largest limit b/c I have paid on time and kept no or small balance on it. However, I get no points or rewards for using it. I know from reading this board that I should not cancel it, so my question is what should I do? I would like to earn something and keep the limit I have. TIA

Get a card that gives you points/rewards and keep the other one. The more "good" credit stuff or open lines of credit you have the better.

If your first card is offered by a big company that has other offerings, you may be able to call them and ask for a Product Change (PC) to another credit card while transferring your limit. Target another card of theirs that will offer you the rewards you like, whether it be points or cash back.

You can do that but if you do you will miss out on signing bonuses.

Most of the big banks/ issuers will let you transfer your credit limits. See whoever you have a card with has a card you'd like. Apply for newcard then transfer your CL
