OT Lawyers, have any of you ever attended the ABA Tech Show

I have a a hard enough time going to my local CLEs. Why would you take time to go to a national lawyer tech schow?

Because its a free trip on the company dime to a fun city and might actually be beneficial.

Years ago. I remember a savvy old lawyer telling the crowd you can use off the shelf software for almost everything in your practice. Apart from Logickull, which I use in big doc cases, I've followed that advice, and he was right. So for me, yeah, it would be a waste of time.

Same, but I would assume there would be top notch hookers and premium blow.

This used to be me. Now that I'm old (30) I'm like "well I'd get behind, have to make up some hours, probably have to hang out with other attorneys..."

I get a budget for CLE's that allows me at least one CLE trip a year. I have yet to do anything other than local Inns of Court and the Young Lawyers end of year CLE. Why? Because being gone for more than 3-4 days scares the shite out of me.
