"I mean people wanted to bring in Kirby Smart, well I mean he's never called a defense without Saban. At least we know Steele has called a defense on his own."

Great point! I mean he hasn't been good at it, BUT we know he can do it.

How do we know this?

I'm pretty sure I have seen Smart calling Defense plays during a game. Or was he just jumping up and down and waving his hands in the air?

He was probably just signaling them in, much like a backup benchwarmer does on offense a lot of times.

Does anyone expect the mouthpiece of LSU sports to badmouth the hire?

So all that matters is that he has called a game in his own?

Surely you can call the right plays. You do it all the time, right?

Yea, they are filling air time with some gems today. Lots of people tuned in though.

I was disgusted with the Steele hire last night. If Ogre happens, at least we can see recruiting possibilities. Too late this year though....right?

Let's hope the secretaries respected him and not really loved him because we don't need the love baggage that John Brady brought coming back to haunt us.

All Les has to do now is make sure he knows which of his defenses to call during the game:

quote:

We have heard several disturbing things about Steele's possible psychological breakdown during the Orange Bowl game. Multiple sources have said that he was calling plays from his days with the Panthers, which aren't in the Clemson playbook, and as such the players were totally confused.

quote:

I do know that Steele has a reputation for being a nervous wreck on gamedays. I'm sure most of you recall that he passed out on the sidelines during a game, and I have heard many times that he requires an IV for fluids because he's such a wreck and won't eat at all on gameday. Hopefully he can get these things corrected for his own health.
